Vision
We believe everyone deserves the gift of literacy

Core Values
  • Service: Every person has the right to learn and grow. We create equal access to learning for persons who would otherwise have none.
  • Collaboration: Partnerships with local and international organizations that are also doing the work of human advocacy to strengthen our knowledge, experience and ability to achieve our goals
  • Integrity: Our Character is impeccable because we deal honestly with others and remain accountable to each other and our community
  • Excellence: We commit to ensuring that the gift of literacy is available to all adults and children in disadvantaged communities by reducing the barriers to their learning and expanding learning opportunities

We believe strongly that anything is possible when someone cares.

The possibilities are endless when someone cares!

Literacy Matters (Linden's Children)

Our mission is to provide literacy programs and financial support for children and adults in the Linden community. We provide the means for families to ensure their children are successful at school. We provide scholarships, grants, meals, back-to-school supplies, and educational support for those who need it most.

Share-a-Book Club

This is the place where children share books with children who need books. Little ones giving the gift of literacy. If you are interested in donating books, please follow the link and we will send you more information https://www.foundationoftheheart.org/contact-us

Free Adult Tutoring

Foundation of the heart helps adults who read at/or below the fifth-grade level. We also help adults who do not speak English significantly improve their literacy skills. Our Volunteers are trained tutors who help learners improve their skills in basic reading, writing, math, and English as a second language.

Whether you need to meet to discuss volunteering, donating, learning to read or sharing books. Pick a time and we'll be there to chat.Read More
